History
JoTal was started in 2006 by Paul S in San Diego, California
Emigrating to the USA from South Africa, with his wife and young children in the early 1990's, Paul is a 4th generation in his family involved in the jewelry industry with his late father, grand-father and great grand-father all being watch makers, tracing way back to St Petersburg, Russia and eventually to South Africa in retail.
Paul how-ever is the first jeweler in his family. He is a qualified goldsmith and diamond mounter, having studied under German and Portuguese master goldsmiths. Paul also studied gemology through the London based Gemological Association of Great Britain as well as jewelry design under a well known designer/artist in South Africa.
He owned and successfully ran 2 factories and retail in South Africa prior to leaving.
In the USA he has focused on the design, manufacture and wholesale side utilizing his ideas and technical understanding to create a simple yet at times challenging to produce collection of jewelry
Many of the JoTal designs and concepts were started in the late 1990's under a separate banner, and over the years the collection has transformed from an art deco style to a more contemporary everyday look, with Paul's love of color evident in the styling.

In our collections, the metals we use are 14k or 18k gold and platinum, set with diamond and precious gemstones
Contracting with our 2 factories in the United States and one overseas, we are intimately involved in the design manufacture and distribution of our own brand to some of the leading independent, individually owned jewelry retailers throughout the United States.

Using contempory, art deco and renaissance styling with diamond and precious gemstones, we produce a small, yet versatile collection in 18k gold fitting to the woman who wants an understated look yet elegant taste
Fashion Bracelets and Necklaces
Fasioned in 14k and 18k yellow, white, or red gold.
Bracelets in 7" to necklaces from 18" to 48" wrap arounds” are hand crafted with a variety of precious gemstones and diamond in assorted shapes, sizes, and colors.
